“El-Kanemi 90% ready for new season”

Speaking to Feverpitch yesterday, the former junior international said even as the unfortunate crisis that has engulfed the NPL has refused to end, the club has continued with its preparations for the 2012/2013 season.

He said a new Technical Adviser, Coach Zachary Baraje has been appointed to replace Kelechi Emeotole and recruitment of players has also been completed by the technical crew.

Babagana who described the crisis in the NPL as very unfortunate said anytime the season commences, El-Kanemi will give a good account of itself.

He also disclosed that ninety per cent of renovation work on the Maidugari township stadium has been completed and barring any unforeseen circumstances, El-Kanemi will be playing its home matches at home.

“I can confirm to you that El-Kanemi is at least ninety per cent ready for the coming season. We have used the window created by the crisis in the NPL to fine-tune preparations.

“Like I told you before, we have employed veteran coach, Zachary Baraje as the new technical adviser and the technical crew has finished recruitment of players for the season. This is to say we are ready and waiting for the season to commence”.
