Dutse Federal University to partner FMC B/Kudu

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Jibrilla Dahiru Amin, stated this when he led the management team of the university to the Chief Medical Director of the centre, Dr. Muhammad Dauda Maigatari, on a courtesy visit.
Professor Amin said he was at the Medical Centre to inspect facilities and collaborate with it towards establishing a College of Medicine in the new university.
He said the second phase of the university is the establishment of College of Medicine which cannot be possible without a Teaching Hospital.
The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Muhammad Dauda, who conducted the team round the centre, said it was established by late Premier, Sir Ahmadu Bello for treatment of trauma cases before the federal government took it over.
He said the hospital is presently undergoing expansion in various areas adding that the facility can easily serve as teaching hospital since the two institutions are federal government owned.
He advised the university to identify good students from Jigawa and sponsor them to study medical biochemistry, anatomy, physiology and medical microbiology which are important in the establishment of a College of Medicine.
