Don’t engage in violence with APC, minister tells Imo PDP

Minister of state for education Professor Viola Onwuliri gave the advice, yesterday, during the commencement of training for PDP volunteers in the state, held at the party’s secretariat, Owerri.
She described PDP as a peace loving party that would not want to be dragged into any form of violence by the APC.
She expressed confidence that the general elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11 would hold peacefully, adding that PDP would defeat APC in the state.
The minister advised youths in the state not to allow themselves to be used by APC for violence, appealing to parents to look after their children.
On the training, Onwuliri said that the essence of the training of the volunteers drawn from different communities, wards and local government areas was to equip them politically, ahead of the forthcoming elections in the state.
She advised them to return to their homes and work hard to ensure landslide victory for President Goodluck Jonathan and other PDP candidates at all levels.
She noted that Jonathan has done so much for the people of the state and the entire Igbo people, adding that he deserved majority of votes from the Igbo land to enable him return as president and continue with his transformation agenda.
In his speech, the state’s Chairman of PDP Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie appealed to the volunteers to be dedicated to their duties and work to densure victories for PDP candidates in the elections.
