Delta State House of Assembly has suspended the member representing Burutu II Constituency, Hon. Kennedy Daubry for three months.
Daubry, is the second house member who defected to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) with former Speaker and member representing Sapele constituency, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, who was also suspended for three months a fortnight ago.
The suspension followed a motion raised by the Majority Leader, Hon. Tim Owhefere seconded by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi and unanimously adopted by the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) dominated House.
Hon. Owhefere said the motion became necessary following the character being displayed in recent times by Hon. Daubry which was unbecoming of a lawmaker.
He said the sanctity of the House must be respected at all times by members stressing that as a lawmaking House, members should live up to expectation.
The Majority Leader argued that all members must improve on the sanctity of the House the way they met it or at least retain it.
