Three people have been killed, while six others sustained varying degrees of injuries in various clashes across Jigawa State.
The State Commissioner of Police, Bala Zama, disclosed this yesterday while speaking to journalists in Dutse.
Zama said one person was killed in Guri local government area (LGA), two persons in Dutse and Kiyawa LGAs, while three others were injured in Kirikassama LGA.
He said the deceased in Guri LGA was killed as result of farmers/ herders clash, the one in Dutse LGA was killed during a dispute, while the other person killed in Kiyawa LGA was stabbed to death by unknown person.
The police commissioner explained that following the return of normalcy in Birniwa LGA, the 400 policemen stationed at various locations across the area would soon be withdrawn.
