An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate Court, on Thursday, ordered that two suspected cultists who allegedly shot and killed a man, be remanded in prison pending legal advice.
Chief Magistrate O. O. Olatunji, who did take the plea of Abiodun Yusuf, 22, and Daniel Ademola, 19, ordered that they be remanded in Ikoyi Prison.
Olatunji ordered the police to return the case file to the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
He adjourned the case until Aug. 20.
The prosecution counsel, Insp. Oladele Adebayo, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on May 31, on Idi Aba Street, Ojota.
Adebayo alleged that the defendants shot one Daniel Akomolaye on his head from behind with a locally made pistol.
He said the offence contravened sections 41 and 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. (NAN)
