The Emir of Zazzau, Shehu Idris has charged members of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) to assist in the campaign against drug abuse.
Speaking when members of the union visited to congratulate him on his 44th anniversary, the emir said the campaign is necessary to effect attitudinal change among the youth.
He said: “I want to charge the youths and members of the union to continue to further their education for a better future.
“The union should assist in the ongoing campaign on drug abuse to effect attitudinal change among the youths.”
The acting president of the Kaduna State chapter of the union, Comrade Rayanu Isyaku Turunku, praised the emir for his constructive and visionary leadership which he said had placed the emirate in an enviable position.
