President Muhammadu Buhari has reassured Nigerians that criminals of whatever hue and their sponsors would be fished out and brought to justice.
He gave the assurance while declaring the second plenary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria opened in Sokoto at the weekend.
While noting with dismay the incessant killings in the country in the names of herders/farmers clash and religion, he said “no Nigerian life deserves to be taken prematurely.”
He asserted:” I swore to protect the lives and properties of Nigeria’s and I remain committed to that pledge.”
The President assured that all the unfortunate incidents would soon be a thing of the past.
Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, Buhari stated that more than any previous administration, the fight against religious fundamentalism and insurgency had been backed up by political will and military action.
