Buhari urged to re-present Magu for Senate confirmation

President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged to re-present the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, for confirmation by the Senate.

Executive Director, Initiative for Leadership and Economic Watch in Nigeria, Agbonkpolor Splendour, made the call in Abuja yesterday.

He said:  “Allowing the present status quo to remain will further consolidate on the great feats achieved so far in the fight against corruption in Nigeria under the amiable leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Interference into the administrative sequence of the present EFCC leadership at this material time with regard to another four years tenure in office will further rubber stamp the remaining four years in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.”
