Buhari’s victory God’s answer to prayers of Nigerians- Dahiru Bauchi

Renown Islamic Scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has described the victory of the General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) in the last week’s presidential polls as a sign of the acceptance of the prayers of Nigeria by God.

Dahiru Bauchi who is the deputy Chairman Fatwa Committee of the Supreme Council Of Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) told newsmen on Thursday in Bauchi that “we have directed for prayers before, during and after the election. “We thank the almighty Allah, the scholars and the entire Nigerians who prayed seriously for peace and stability in the country and we pray to see success of the polls and to see the end of insecurity in the country. We thank the almighty Allah who accepted our prayers through Buharis victory.”

While congratulating the president –elect and Nigerians, he commended Buhari for his perseverance and belief in a cause after losing three times in the past before achieving victory this time.

He commended Professor Attahiru Jega the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for introducing the card reader which helped to facilitate and a credible poll.Dahiru-Bauchi urged Buhari to sustain the Almajiri schools introduced by the outgoing administration for the development of the country.
