President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, yesterday arrived Daura, Katsina State, for today’s presidential and National Assembly elections.
They landed at the helipad in GRA area of Daura around 4: 05pm via a chopper from Katsina. The helipad is a few metres away from the president’s residence in the GRA area of Daura, his hometown.
The president and his wife had landed at the Umaru Yar’adua Airport in Katsina around 3:25pm from Abuja with a presidential aircraft.
At the Katsina airport, Governor Aminu Masari accompanied by other personalities received the president who left for Daura around 3.49pm.
The president is expected to cast his vote Saturday morning at the Sarkin Yara Ward A, Kofa Baru 3 polling unit.
Unlike last week, when many residents trooped out to welcome the president, only a few people were aware of his arrival yesterday. Last week, he went to Daura by road from Katsina.
