These represent 3.94 percent of over N7.3 billion aggregate expenditure demanded by the anti-graft agency in the 2019 budget.

Acting EFCC chairman, Ibrahim Magu, disclosed this in Abuja yesterday while presenting the “Comparative Analysis of 2019 EFCC Budget Proposal and Budget Office Proposal,” to the House of Representatives committee on EFCC, chaired by Rep Kayode Oladele (APC, Ogun).

However, the amount submitted by the Budget Office to the National Assembly on the items indicated a drastic reduction of the proposals namely, N111 million for generator fuel, N27million, and N3. 87 million for meals and newspapers respectively.

Magu also disclosed plans to increase salaries and allowances of 970 additional staff approved for recruitment, to be fully enrolled on the personnel cost platform in 2019.
