A group of yet to be identified gunmen on Wednesday morning shot and killed two mobile policemen attached to the International Beer and Beverage Industries, IBBI, in Nasarawa, along Nnamdi Azikiwe bypass, Kaduna.
Sources said the gunmen alighted from a truck at about 5:00 am and made as if they were heading for the mosque around the areas.
The source added that after gaining some distance to the security men by the gate of the brewery, the men who were dressed in long kaftans brought out guns and started shooting.
Our correspondents learnt that seven persons were hit but two of them who happened to be mobile policemen died on the spot.
People around the area took their heels and in the commotion, the gun men entered their vehicle and sped away.
A resident of that area who does want to be named said some military men came after they were alerted of the gunshots but that the gun men had left by then.
Victims of the attack were taken to the Saint Gerald Catholic Hospital.
When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer for Kaduna Police Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo could not give details about the development, but promised to call our correspondent back.
