Borno flags off demarcation exercise in communities

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has launched an Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) Phase IX exercise to be carried out in communities across Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC).

Zulum, who was represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur, while flagging off the exercise that was organized by the National Population Commission (NPC), said it was aimed at having records of the population of children and households within MMC and Jere Local Government.

“The Government is ever ready to provide the needed support and supervision to ensure the exercise is completed smoothly and efficiently,” Governor Zulum said.

The Shehu of Borno, who was represented by the Council’s Chief of Staff, Babagana Wali, commended the NPC officials for a job well done.

The Acting Chairman of the NPC, Barrister Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin and the NPC Federal Commissioner representing Borno/Yobe, Barrister Isa Audu Buratai, expressed gratitude to Governor Zulum and the state government for the support rendered to the NPC towards ensuring the targeted success of the EAD in the state.
