The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Triple Hands Agro Foods Enterprises Limited, Mr. Izekor Oduwa Joseph has appealed to federal government to support local manufacturers to improve food production.
Mr. Joseph made the call at the unveiling of the Triple Hands Agro Foods Enterprises Limited, a Food Producing Factory in Lokogoma District of Abuja, yesterday.
He explain that the food factory which produce pounded yam flour, corn flour, Bean flour and rice flour, among other to feed the nation and reduce poverty and hunger.
He noted that the factory will create more jobs and foreign-exchange, also increase the value of our currency and Nigeria will be the major player in the effect of manufacturers, in the world of manufacturers.
“The idea of producing various flour is to make it easy for them to cook. Most of the urban dwellers after coming back from work find it difficult to prepare food themselves. So we are processing this food halfway to makes it easier for them and also most importantly to also export the food as well.”
“So we’re technically collecting from the farmers processing and selling, but we are going to sell locally, I also hope to sell nationally by the grace of God. When God open the door of the national Market for us,” he said
Joseph commended President Buhari on the closure of all Nigeria land borders to stop smuggled into the country.
He further said that the competition from abroad was much because most of those things coming from abroad have be subsidized by their government to kill our manufacturing industry, so the border should remain closed until the conditions are met.
He urged the federal government to partner with manufacturer in the country to create more jobs for youths.
