Boko Haram attacks Yobe town

Police spokesman, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin, confirmed the attack, but gave no details.
“We are aware of the attack, our men are there to ascertain the damage but there is no GSM network to reach them”, he said.
Our correspondent gathered that the insurgents attacked the town last Tuesday, destroying a police station and killing a Divisional Police Officer (DPO).
“His dead body was brought to Damaturu on Wednesday. Today, the assailants attacked a team of security men dispatched to the town, In fact, nobody knows their condition because the town is under serous attack and there is no network to contact them”, a security source said.
Daily Trust gathered that the attackers stormed the town around 3pm and destroyed shops and other public buildings. A resident, Malam Ahmadu,  told our correspondent that they could not ascertain the level of damage in the town but shops and government buildings were destroyed.
