As today’s supplementary elections gets underway security agents, particularly the police, have taken position at strategic locations in Makurdi, the state capital, enforcing restriction of movement.
Our correspondent who went round the state capital observed the presence of armed policemen on major streets of the state capital enforcing the restriction order.
A Police officer who spoke with Daily Trust said: “There is restriction of movement today between 7am to 4pm and we are out to enforce the order.”
With the exception of Katsina Ala, supplementary polls are being held in affected polling units in all LGAs in the state.
