Bendel Insurance of Benin have unveiled new technical manager, Benard Ogbe, with a charge to bring the club back to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Unveiling the technical adviser yesterday in Benin, the governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki represented by his deputy Philip Shaibu, said the club has recruited 15 new players from some of the top clubs in the country.
The governor assured that government will give the necessary support to the club in order to return them to the professional league.
“We have also increased welfare of the player in Bendel Insurance as well as Edo Queens. Both the male and the female are receiving the same salary now. This is a morale booster to the club and players. In the 2019/2020 season, we want Insurance to come back to professional league,” he said
According to him, the technical manager will also assist the Edo queens to get to the top and win laurels for the state.
Responding, Benard Ogbe assured that his team will work hard to return Bendel Insurance to its past glory in the Nigerian league.
