Bauchi APC senatorial aspirants deny plan to dump party

All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial aspirants who contested for the three senatorial districts seats tickets in Bauchi state have denied alleged plans to dump the party.

The aspirants in a joint statement signed by Dr Danjuma Adamu Dabo who contested for Bauchi South Senate ticket and Dr Muhammad Dogo Waziri who contested for Bauchi north senate ticket stated that they have no plan to leave the party, describing the speculations as mere rumour.

“It is imperative, at this juncture, to state categorically our position in view of the high level of speculations and uncertainties that pervade the political landscape as to our political progression or direction since the APC party primaries that heightened the level of dissatisfaction of most aspirants who were glaringly denied their well-deserved and hard-earned mandates from APC members.

“We unequivocally reaffirm that APC is our home and as founding members who have been in this long-haul struggle with PMB, we are decided that no amount of denial or deprivation will make us leave the discomfort of our party to go elsewhere,” the statement disclosed.

The aspirants however, disclosed that they have been approached by many political parties after the APC party primaries in Bauchi state to contest the senatorial elections of their respective constituencies under their platforms.

The aspirants further noted that they will stay in APC and work for the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 re-election for second term.
