The Emergency Committee of the NFF on Monday after hearing the appeals brought before it by Nembe City FC and Giwa FC following their expulsion from the Glo Premier League also directed Nembe to “desist from further association with any banned person(s) or risk forfeiture of points or outright de-registration from the League”.
Speaking to Daily Trust yesterday, Baribote said NFF should come out with the name of the banned person or persons that are associating with his club. He said to the best of his knowledge, his club does not associate itself with any banned persons and it will not have anything to do with anyone who has been banned by the football authorities.
Baribote also noted that conditions given by the Emergency Committee are not new to his club because they are the same conditions the LMC had asked the clubs to meet before they would be registered.
He said his club is ready with everything that it is required to forward to the LMC for registration.
According to him, Nembe City has no problem of venue and the medical reports of the players are also ready and would be submitted as soon as the LMC provides the necessary forms.
“I am not aware of any banned person or persons associating with Nembe City. I am the proprietor of the club and if there is anything like that I should know”, he said.
