The Katsina State Government has banned the sales of Boxer and Kasea brands of motorcycles perceived to be preferred choices of bandits and criminals operating in the state.
The state sector commander of the Federal Road safety Corps, Ali Tanimu, disclosed this yesterday during a visit to the office of the correspondents chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in the state.
He noted that these brands are rigid and linked with most insecurity operations across the state.
According to him, the command will also, by the end of this month, commence a clampdown on unregistered tricycles and motorcycles, saying ‘government has equally banned them from using curtains and tinted glasses’
