Come December 15 and 16, North Central zone qualifying round of the Daily Trust President Buhari Golf Cup will tee off at the Lamingo Golf Club in Jos. The Plateau Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong will perform the Teeing off Ceremony.
At the moment some 400 golfers from Plateau, Kogi, Kwara, Benue, Nasarawa states will do battle for just 40 slots. From the 40 qualifiers 10 will automatically qualify for the Pro-Am in Abuja where the remaining 30 will face another test in a Grand Qualifying round in Kaduna sometime in January next year.
The Qualifying rounds are expected to move round the geo political zones and the Federal Capital Territory.
After the game in Jos, the North West zone will move to Dutse between December 25 and 26 with that of the North East coming up in Bauchi from December 29 to 30. The three remaining zones will have their games in the New Year. The grand finale, the Pro-Am will happen at the IBB Golf Club in Abuja between January 31 and February3, 2019.
