Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has assured Nigerians that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would deliver and Nigerians would soon feel the dividends of democracy.
“I want to assure you that we will not leave any stone unturned to meet our promises and the trust you had on us. By the special grace of Allah, we shall deliver,” he stated in his Sallah broadcast.
“You might recall that a few days ago, the president and Commander in-Chief, Muhammadu Buhari, came back from medical vacation. Thank God, the president is recuperating and by the grace of God, all will very soon feel the dividends of democracy. What remains for us is to continue to pray to God to rectify the affairs of our dear country,” he said.
“As you all know, before the advent of the APC government, our country was in great distress, as we were caught in the most trying times of our history which include Boko Haram insurgency and the near shut-down of all sectors of the economy. There was no water, no light and citizens were insecure. Poverty had pervaded the nation with the majority of citizens impoverished,” he added.
He assured the people that his administration would not relent in re-invigorating all sectors of the economy. Tambuwal prayed to God for peace in the country and the safe return of hajj pilgrims.
