Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence of winning the governorship supplementary elections that will take place in Tafawa Balewa local government area and other places across the state.
The Deputy Director, Bauchi State APC campaign council, Aminu Mohammed Danmaliki, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Bauchi on Tuesday.
Daily Trust reports that the supplementary governorship election would be held in Tafawa Balewa local government and other places in 184 polling units in 15 affected local government areas of the state.
Danmaliki said the APC was hopeful of winning the election which will decide the winner of the governorship race having won ‘majority of the state assembly elections held on 9th March, 2019.
He therefore called on the electorate in the affected areas in Bauchi State the state to turn out en mass and participate in the supplementary election.
“We once again called on electorate to remain committed, resolute and supportive to APC as the party of the moment not to think of retarding the wheel of progress by retreating to the old crew that many of the states are now struggling to move out of to the next level family,” he said.
