Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is to appear before the seven-man committee of the Kano State House of Assembly investigating bribe allegation against him on Friday.
A credible source told Daily Trust that the governor would appear before the committee at 10am.
He said the committee had extended an invitation to the governor last night.
The seven-man committee headed by Baffa Babba Danagundi is investigating the authenticity or otherwise of video clips purporting to show Ganduje receiving bribe from an unidentified contractor.
The committee had last week invited Jaafar Jaafar, publisher and editor-in-chief of Daily Nigerian, the online newspaper which released the video clips. The publisher had testified before the committee and tendered written statement and copies of the video clips to the committee.
Meanwhile, a third clip is making the rounds in the social media, but the Daily Nigerian publisher has disowned them, saying he did not release any video since appearing before the Kano lawmakers.
