Ondo state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has commiserated with the family of the immediate past deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo over the alleged gruesome murder of his 25-year-old daughter, Khadijat Oluboyo by her boyfriend, Seidu Adeyemi.
Akeredolu who spoke through the deputy governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi during a condolence visit to Oluboyo’s house on Wednesday described the incident as a big blow to the family.
Accompanied by the secretary to the state government, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde and the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Yemi Olowolabi, the governor said the state deeply share in the family’s grief.
He urged the family as believers of Allah to submit to the will of God, the Giver of life.
The governor also prayed for the family over the loss and asked for the protection of God on all others she left behind.
He also commended security operatives especially the police for the prompt arrest of the suspect promising that he would be brought to justice, if found guilty.
Oluboyo however thanked the governor and the people of the state saying the death of his daughter have been devastating.
He also said that because of his religion he would not seek vengeance in the law court.
