The governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Ogun State, Dimeji Bankole, yesterday, declared that his party will unseat the ruling APC in next year’s elections.
Bankole spoke yesterday at the ADP secretariat in Abeokuta shortly after he was officially unveiled as the flag-bearer of the party by the state Chairman, Chief Wale Egunleti.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives vowed to pursue mass employment, which is the motto of the party, if elected as the governor in 2019.
Bankole said the leadership of ADP in the last six years had embarked on grassroots mobilisation and built structures capable of defeating the incumbent.
Earlier in his address, Egunleti said Bankole was elected the governorship candidate having possessed the leadership qualities desired by the people of the state.
