A chairmanship aspirant in the 2019 FCT Football Association election, Adam Mouktar Mohammed has said his vision is reinvigorate the game in the Federal Capital territory and make Abuja the home of Nigerian football.
The proprietor of FC Hearts who addressed the press yesterday in Abuja said, if elected, his administration would focus on provision of critical facilities like training and match pitches, development of human capacity as well as establishment of a viable league for talents at the grassroots to be identified and developed.
He said “We have campaigned and articulated our plan, our blueprint for football in the FCT which like I said I haven’t got a long list of impossibilities.

“Rather we have kept it to a three point agenda that we feel is reasonable and we can be held accountable at any given any time.
“Our main focus is to contribute and develop more facilities, which means training pitches, matches pitches across the FCT.
“We intend to build human capacity which is players, coaches, administrators and all other stake holders.
“The third thing we intend to do is to bring back a strong competitive youth system, the league system by encouraging sponsors to participate and that will be possible only by the way the system is run.
Mohammed maintained that with the right structures, Abuja will once again be the hub of football in the country.
He therefore expressed confidence that with a level playing field, he would emerge as the next chairman of the FCT FA.
“We want to see how we can come back to the forefront and let Abuja be the real home of the Super Eagles like we say.
“So we intend to do much more but we think these are the main points that we believe if we are able to do, we would have contributed a lot to development of football in Abuja,” he said.
The 2019 FCT FA election will hold on June 20 in Kuje Area Council.
