Chairman of the FCT NLC Comrade Abdullahi Yahaya who flagged off the training programme said the training will cover “leadership, organising and gender.”
Yahaya said “the training, which is an annual event, is to equip our members with the requisite knowledge to face the ever increasing challenges facing workers. If you don’t have education as a leader, it becomes difficult to do what you are supposed to do.
“As society progresses, women are taking more roles both at home and in the workplace; same is happening in the struggle for emancipation of workers. This training will teach participants to see each other as partners in progress with the same aim.”
He added that “the ability to organise, which is one of the strongest pillars of the struggle has been part of this programme since inception.”
