The Chairman Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, has said the council has approved the sinking of boreholes in five communities.
Ajiya stated this on Saturday when he inspected the sinking of a borehole at Gasakpa village in the area.
He gave the names of the communities as, Gasakpa, Rafin Daji, Dogon Ruwa, Anguwar Fulani and Mawogi, adding that the boreholes project was aimed at cushioning water problems at the communities.
The chairman said the council had also concluded arrangement to embark on repair of some of the grounded boreholes across communities of the council.
“And as I speak, we have started reticulation of water pipes within Abaji township to also address water problem in Abaji town,” he said.
