Governor Kashim Shettima disclosed this while leading a delegation to Songhai Farms during which the founder and chief executive of the farms, Mr. Godfrey Nzamujo conducted the team round different agro-allied sections of the large farm which comprise sections of agro training, extension services, poultry, fish farming, water processing, irrigation, crop farming, rice milling, animal husbandry and production, processing and packaging of multiple agro-allied products.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Communications, Isa Gusau, said Governor Shettima was impressed with high level activities at the farm and its agro expertise. “Governor Shettima said the state government will in the next few weeks send a batch of 200 youths for the training after which more will be sent,” the statement said. “The youths will be allowed to choose their area of interest ranging from crop production, poultry, fish farming, and production of milk, rice milling and other specialized aspects of agriculture available in Songhai farms.
