The Plateau State Police Command suspects for armed robbery and culpable homicide between the months of May and June.
The state Commissioner of Police, Peter Babatunde, in a press conference in Jos, told journalists that the suspects were arrested in various local government areas of the state. He warned that the war on criminal activities in the state would continue with a renewed vigour.
CP Babatunde further explained that the command had employed different strategies and workable security measures to stem the tide of criminality, stressing that the security measures had yielded achievements with the arrest of many suspected criminals and recovery of arms and ammunition.
He said the arrested suspects included three notorious car snatchers around Bukuru in Jos South and two notorious armed robbery suspects who were also members of a dreaded cult group, known as the Vikings, operating in Jos Metropolis.
