The Federal Government yesterday again expressed its displeasure at the increasing number of Nigerians defecating in the open.
It reiterated its commitment to eliminating the practice by 2025.
The Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu, said this in Abuja during an inter-ministerial dialogue on sanitation.
He said: “As at today, Nigeria is the global leader among countries with the highest number of people practising open defecation with an estimated 47 million people indulging in the act.”
