Forty five opposition parties in Gombe state under the auspices of Interparty Advisory Council (IPAC) have endorsed the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya.
In a signed statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday by the IPAC, the chairmen of the 45 political parties said they arrived at the decision after wide consultations.
“After series of meetings, we the undersigned 45 political parties have unanimously agreed to keep our personal interest aside and adopted Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of the APC for the March 9 governorship election in Gombe state,” the statement read.

The IPAC added that they adopted the APC’s gubernatorial candidate because he is the most qualified candidate among the 30 contestants that are vying for the governorship seat in the state.
They further called on their supporters and electorate to cast their votes for Inuwa Yahaya to ensure a collective change of government and meaningful development of the state.
The IPAC also called on people of the state to come out and vote for candidate of their choice in the Saturday’s state assembly elections without fear of intimidation.
Some of the political parties that signed the statement are; Accord Party, DPP, ADC ACD, AD, MPN, CAP, BNPP, APA, AA, MMN, ANP, PPC, HDP, UPN, NCP, UPP, NCMP and PAC among others.
