Thirty registered political parties in Bauchi State, yesterday, expressed their support for the re-election of Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar in the forthcoming election.

The parties made their position known at a press conference in Bauchi.

Comrade Abdullahi B. Mohammed, one of the chairmen of the parties that endorsed and signed the papers of the endorsement, said they took the decision because they had the same vision with the governor.

“We have firmly resolved to support and campaign for the candidates of APC in Bauchi State at all levels in the forthcoming 2019 general elections. No room for cracks shall be allowed to thwart our collective success in all elections,” the parties stated.

It could be recalled that five political parties – PDP, GPN, PRP, ACD, PDM – and some APC members had at an earlier press conference on Sunday announced the formation of a coalition to oust Gov. Abubakar and vote against other APC candidates.

The press conference was attended by the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and other stakeholders who vowed to resist any attempt by the APC-led administration in the state to rig the elections.
