Three persons were burnt to death, while one other sustained injuries after a vehicle went up in flames at RCC Junction, Kwali.
Witnesses said one of the deceased died at the hospital.
A Toyota Land Cruiser SUV had somersaulted after a tyre burst and went up in flames at about 8pm on Wednesday.
A witness said officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission evacuated the deceased and the injured passengers to hospital.
When contacted, the Yangoji Unit Commander of the FRSC, ACC Joseph Samgbaza, confirmed the accident.
He said six persons were involved in the accident; two persons lost their lives on the spot while a third person died later at hospital.
The FRSC commander said one person who sustained injury was receiving treatment at Kwali General Hospital, adding that the corpses were deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
