2019: PDP appoints Saraki as DG, presidential campaign

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Senate President Bukola Saraki as the Director General for the 2019 general elections presidential campaign.

The party also appointed Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State as zonal coordinator for the North West.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan on Tuesday in Abuja, the party  also named Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe State as Zonal Coordinator for the North East.

According to the statement, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State is the Zonal Coordinator for the North Central.

Similarly, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State was named the Zonal Coordinator for the South South while former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose is the Zonal Coordinator for the South West.

Others are; Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State as Zonal Coordinator for the South East; former Minister of Special Duties, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (Chairman, Legal Matters) and Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State (​Chairman, Fund Raising Committee).

The party said the National Working Committee (NWC) would make further announcement on the composition and structure of the PDP presidential campaign, in due course.
