Also expected at the summit on Tuesday are former PDP national chairman, Ahmadu Ali and senate leader Victor Ndoma Egba among others, political adviser to the president, Prof Rufai Ahmed Alkali, told a press conference in Abuja yesterday, addingthat it would be chaired by Akwa Ibom State Governor Akpabio at Eagle Square Abuja.
He however, refuted the speculation that the activities of the groups are being financed by the presidency, stressing that all the support groups are expected to bear full responsibility for their transportation, accommodation and welfare of their delegates to the summit.
“In a bid to ensure that all support groups spanning the length and breadth of the entire country are properly harnessed and as a way of showcasing the spirit of national unity and solidarity, we have decided to invite their representatives to a national summit,” Alkali said.
