A total of 18 coaches sponsored by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Football Association have resumed at the National Institute for Sports, NIS, in Abuja for the basic coaching course.
In fulfilment of his campaign promise, the Moukar Mohammed led FA have paid for the registration as well as tuition of all 18 coaches drawn from the Area Councils in the FCT.
In a chat with Daily Trust, the FA Chairman said he was happy to fulfil the campaign promise he made to football stakeholders in the FCT.
“I am happy that we have been able to keep to our promise. When we were canvassing for votes, we made it clear that we would send our young coaches to the National Institute for the basic course.
“As men of honour, we didn’t forget our pledge to the stakeholders and our coaches. I am also happy that the beneficiaries are enthusiastic and willing to make the best use of the opportunity,” he said.
The course will run till December 2019.
