10 kidnap suspects, arms manufacturers paraded in Benue

The Force Commander of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Major General, Adeyemi Yekini, on Wednesday paraded 10 suspects for their various involvements in kidnapping, cattle rustling and illegal arms manufacturing within the localities of Benue and Nasarawa States.

Yekini while parading the suspects at OPWS headquarters in Makurdi, said six of the suspected criminals were arrested in Nasarawa state while four others were arrested in Benue state.

He disclosed that the OPWS currently engages in breaking the supply chain of weapon proliferation in the country, noting that the increasing spate of arms manufacturing was alarming in the country and responsible for fuelling criminal activities.
