Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed three persons at Bakira Community in Maro district of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State .
The incident happened Wednesday around 11:00pm according to a source in the area.
Daily Trust gathered that the gunmen came to the village and opened fire on the villagers.
Detail of the attackers and their mission remained unknown as residents fled during the attack.
A community leader in the area who prefer not to be mentioned told Daily Trust that three children were injured in the attack.
“Yes three people were confirmed dead when the bandits attacked the community. Majority of the people here are farmers. Three children were so also injured,” he said.
It was also gathered that policemen have already been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.
Contacted the State Command Public Relations officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige said he will get detail before commenting.
