Why I refused to leave PDP in 2015 – Sen Makarfi

A former National Chairman of the PDP, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi, has said he refused to leave the party in 2015 to secure his senatorial seat at the National Assembly on the platform of the APC because of the party men and women who looked up to him as leader.

Sen. Makarfi, who stated this in Benin while addressing delegates and members of the party, said he did that based on his loyalty and interest in the party.

Markafi said he was seeking the party’s presidential ticket because he was qualified to lead the nation.

While speaking in Asaba, Delta State, the PDP presidential aspirant expressed commitment to total restructuring of the country if elected president.

He said as Governor of Kaduna State, he was the architect of the first national conference under a former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.

While speaking to journalists after addressing the PDP executives in Umuahia, Abia State, Makarfi said he would bring an end to the growing insecurity in the country if elected president in 2019.

He said Nigerians would be better off if he emerged as president because of his wealth of experience in governance.
