The 12 other officials returned included the secretary, Babatunde Ali who were nominated by National Executive Committee, NEC, of the party on Friday.

Bello, in his acceptance speech said the task before the new leadership of the PRP is not only to lead the party to greater heights but lead with sole aim of redeeming the masses of Nigeria.

He said the new leadership of the PRP is set to show to the talakawas (the poor) that their deliverance is neither in PDP or APC.

He said, “We need to show the talakawa that his exploiters are no longer the emirs and chiefs but the governors and local government chairmen and their cronies who are further pauperizing them.

We need to also show and explain to the talaka the need for him to come home which in this case is the PRP, a party created to help him organize himself and fight for his deliverance.”

Musa who also spoke at the conference said Nigerians must replace both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) with PRP in 2019.

He said Nigerians have suffered enough in the hands of the two political parties hence the need for their replacement.

"The expectations of the conference is for the new leadership to promote the wanted, expected and demanded third alternative to existing political parties misruling the country,” he stated.
