Beyond using bitter leaf in soups, many people find no other use for it. But it has been shown to have antiseptic properties.

Remember when your grandmother squeezed the juice onto a cut or some other injury? She may not have known it then, but huge body of research shows it is antibacterial.

This home remedy can be used on the go. Pick a single leaf, clean it up with water. [Some in a hurry just wet it up with saliva]. Crush and squeeze between fingers or on your palm until some juice runs out. Drip the juice over your wound.
