EKO 2012: Jigawa rewards 6 athletes

The Jigawa government yesterday in Dutse rewarded the six athletes who won medals for it at the 18th National Sports Festival in Lagos last year with undisclosed cash prizes.
The athletes won three gold medals and five bronze medals in weightlifting, traditional wrestling and boxing at the games.
Babandi Ibrahim, the Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, said the gesture was in recognition of their outstanding performances which made the state proud. (NAN)
