Laloko charges Eagles to beat Zambia

Former Technical Director of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Chief Kashimawo Laloko has said that it would be a football disaster if the Super Eagles lose their second group match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa to Zambia.

Laloko, who is the Director of Pepsi Football Academy, Abeokuta, Ogun State, warned that Stephen Keshi’s Eagles should play the match against the defending champions, Chipolopolo with caution, adding that all hands must be on deck to ensure that the Eagles secure the three points at stake in the crucial match.

“The Zambian team is formidable. The Chipoloplo I saw against Ethiopia are very good with young players who will be ready to give the Eagles a good run in the match. So I will expect our team to play with caution. There is no doubt that the match will be tough because the Zambian team would be dangerous. My message to Keshi and his team is that we must not lose to Zambia,”.

Former Nigerian international, Kingsley Onye also shared Laloko’s expectation that Joseph Yobo captained side should beat Zambia in today’s encounter. Onye said the Eagles should approach the match with confidence because winning the match would boost Nigeria’s chances to qualify for the next stage of the Nations Cup.
