They have also extended their control to areas as far as Gubla where they killed three persons on Monday, including a former local government councillor identified as Mr. John. The chairman of Madagali Local Government Area told Daily Trust that the insurgents move freely between Gwoza, Madagali and Gubla, and telling remaining residents to stay indoors.Mr James Waltharda said they were also firing shots and chanting war slogans.Waltharda, who said he believed the military is doing its best to reclaim the area, expressed worry over the continued push by the insurgents.“The insurgents are in control of Madagali, a Dutse, Gubla and Milndu, the patrol the area. They are closing in on Gulak but there is still a military base in Gulak,” he added.
