The staff of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Birnin kudu in Jigawa state have decried the payment of half salaries for the last three months by the management. One of the senior staff who spoke on condition of anonymity said they have been receiving half salaries from the management in the last three months, adding that life has been hard for them and their families since the situation began. A junior staff in the centre said he was his wife just delivered and he is finding tough to cope. But the Chief Medical Director of the centre, Dr Dauda Maigatari said the allegations are baseless adding that the salaries and allowances of the workers were paid fully up till December 31, 2012.
