Prison service to set up model schools

The Nigeria Prison Service has said it is planning to establish prison model schools in prisons across Nigeria. Controller General of the Nigeria Prison Service, Mr. Zakari Ohinoyi Ibrahim made this known while declaring open a three day workshop themed “Prisons Welfare Insurance Scheme – A sure Tool for Achieving Optimum Staff Welfare” yesterday in Nasarawa State. The CG who was represented by deputy conptroller general, Dr. Peter E Ekpendu, said the establishment of schools aimed at improving prison’s staff welfare. He said the participants should render a special service of re-socializing and re-branding deviants to become law abiding and useful citizens in the society.
