NIMET wants decision makers to take predictions seriously

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has called on decision makers in the country to take advantage of the national seasonal rainfall prediction to optimize productive activities in their respective operations. The Akwa Ibom State coordinator of NIMET, Mr. Ime Akpan, made the call yesterday at a two day workshop for journalists in Uyo. “It is heart-warming to observe that relevant government agencies have taken steps to ensure that the unfortunate situation does not take Nigerians again by surprise”, he said.
